Here are 5 Quran verses that teach how to talk to ignorant people

1.Surah An-Najm - 53:29 -

So avoid those who turn away from Our message and desire nothing but the worldly life.

The context of this verse is that it is part of Surah An-Najm, which is a Meccan surah that affirms the prophethood of Muhammad and his miraculous journey to the heavens. The verse advises the Prophet to ignore those who reject his message and are only concerned with worldly pleasures. The verse implies that such people are not worthy of his attention and that he should focus on conveying the truth to those who are willing to listen and believe.

2.Surah Al-Hijr - 15:85 -

We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them except for a purpose. And the Hour is sure to come, so overlook ˹their faults˺ graciously.

The text is a verse from Surah Al-Hijr, which is the 15th chapter of the Quran. The surah is titled “The Stoneland” and it was revealed in Mecca. The Prophet is instructed to overlook the faults of the disbelievers with gracious forgiveness, meaning that he should not be harsh or angry with them, but rather show them kindness and mercy. This was before Allah ordained jihad or fighting in His cause. Allah says in another verse:

So what a great mercy it is from Allah that you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), are lenient towards them; and if you had been stern and hardhearted (unsympathetic) they would have certainly been uneasy in your company; so forgive them and intercede for them and consult with them in the conduct of affairs; and when you decide upon something, rely upon Allah; indeed Allah loves those who trust (Him). (3:159)

The verse was revealed after the Battle of Uhud, when some of the Muslims disobeyed the Prophet’s command and left their positions on a hill, which led to a defeat by the enemy. The Prophet was hurt and saddened by their behavior, but he did not rebuke them harshly or abandon them. Instead, he showed them kindness and compassion, which kept them united and loyal to him. The verse teaches the Prophet and his followers to be forgiving and tolerant with each other, and to avoid being rude or harsh-hearted.

The verse teaches the Prophet and his followers to be forgiving and tolerant with each other, and to avoid being rude or harsh-hearted. It also teaches them to seek Allah’s forgiveness for their sins and shortcomings, as Allah is the Most Forgiving and Merciful.

3.Surah Taha - 20:44 -

And speak to him gently, so that he might hopefully be brought to his senses and entertain a profound reverence for Allah.

This verse is part of the instructions that Allah gave to Moses and Aaron when He sent them to Pharaoh to invite him to the worship of the One True God. Allah told them to speak to Pharaoh gently, with soft and polite words, so that he might hopefully be brought to his senses and entertain a profound reverence for Allah. This shows the wisdom and mercy of Allah, who wanted to guide Pharaoh to the right path, even though he was a tyrant and an oppressor. It also shows the importance of good manners and kind speech when calling people to Islam, especially those who are arrogant and stubborn. Allah knows best what is in the hearts of His servants, and He guides whom He wills.

4.Surah Al-Ankabut - 29:46 -

And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

In this verse, Allah commands the believers to not argue with the People of the Book except in the best way, meaning with evidence, proof, gentleness and kindness, and to not engage in what has no benefit, and to avoid dispute and argument with those who oppose and oppress them. He also commands them to say to them that they believe in what Allah has revealed to His Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and what He has revealed to His prophets before him, and that the God of the Muslims and the God of the People of the Book is one God, with no partner, and that the Muslims are those who submit to Him with obedience and compliance. This verse shows the good manners of the Muslims with others, and their invitation to the truth with wisdom and good advice, and their monotheism of Allah Almighty and sincerity of worship to Him.

5.Surah Al-Qasas - 28:55 -

And when they hear indecent speech, they ignore it and say, “For us are our deeds and for you are your deeds; peace be to you (good bye); we are not interested in the ignorant.”

This verse teaches us how to deal with slanderous talk and ignorant people. It advises us to turn away from such talk and not engage in arguments or disputes with them. It reminds us that we are accountable for our own deeds and that we should not judge others. It also shows us how to greet them with peace and kindness, even if they are rude or hostile to us. This verse is an example of the high moral standards and tolerance that Islam promotes.
